A franchise passer in Daniels headlines a D+ weekend for the Falcons. Nobody else had Korey Foreman anywhere near Round 5, Pick 9. The Falcons did, by 61 spots, and that gap is the whole story. Put together, it is a D+.
The trade table is where this weekend went wrong. They have staked the next five years on Jayden Daniels, which is the only story that really matters here. They banked enough surplus on DeJean to cover a lot of smaller sins.
With interior defensive lineman and linebacker unsolved, spending premium capital on cornerback is the choice that costs them. A whole weekend of picks and interior defensive lineman is somehow still a want.
Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and interior defensive lineman is still a hole.
