Jones should have been long gone. The Falcons pounced, and earned a B.

The Falcons ran the phones like sharks, prying loose value on deal after deal until the ledger was lopsided. The bottom line is a respectable B.

They banked enough surplus on Jones to cover a lot of smaller sins. They will regret leaving running back for another day if the season turns on it.

The Travis reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. The Justin Fields pickup adds a known quantity to a class of unknowns.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
