Whatever Jayden Daniels becomes, the front office has tied its fortunes to the answer. The Simpson pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with interior defensive lineman, running back and other spots still on the board.

They punted on interior defensive lineman, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
