Draft Grade — Falcons

FutureB-
Best value of the weekend goes to the Falcons for Warren: B+. When a board-topper like Tyler Warren slides to the Round 4 slot, you do not overthink it, and the Falcons did not. More right than wrong, and a B+ to match.
The Miller pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast. For all the activity, quarterback went untouched, which is hard to explain.
A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
Pick Analysis
Pick25
Rnd1
James Pearce Jr.
In No. 25 they get a problem off the edge. A real need, handled.
Pick55
Rnd2
Jay Higgins
Jay Higgins at the 55th overall pick is right where the board had him, plain and simple. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick97
Rnd3
Blake Miller
They talked themselves into Blake Miller at the 97th pick, and the board did not agree. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick122
Rnd4
Tyler Warren
Steal is underselling it; Tyler Warren at pick 122 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. The roster fit checks out.
Pick228
Rnd7
Thor Griffith
Thor Griffith at slot 228 is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
