A mixed bag for the Falcons, and a C+ to match.

The Anim Dankwah selection is the head-turner. The Falcons reached 81 spots for him, and it will define how this weekend is remembered. Fine in stretches, shaky in others: a C+.

It is not that Simpson is a bad player; it is that the Falcons had louder needs to answer first. The interior defensive lineman spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. The roster is better shaped than it was, with offensive lineman chief among the fixes.

So much rides on Dallas Turner that the real verdict is a season or two away.
