The board owed the Falcons one, and it paid up: Jalyx Hunt, the No. 152 name on the board, sitting there at pick No. 187 like a gift left on the doorstep. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B-.

Leaving interior defensive lineman unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The cost of the Rattler reach is exactly the players who went right after him.

They left with offensive lineman solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
