Draft Grade — Falcons

FutureB-
A passer of the future in Daniels, and a B, for the Falcons. The search is over. The Falcons handed the keys to Jayden Daniels, and the whole operation now runs on his development. No fireworks, but a solid B.
Landing Jackson that late papers over a lot of smaller sins. The offensive lineman hole is the one line item this class does not answer.
Quarterback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
Good work on the whole, with offensive lineman the one box left unchecked.
Pick Analysis
Pick8
Rnd1
Jayden Daniels
In Round 1, Pick 8 they get a franchise quarterback. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick43
Rnd2
Chris Braswell
A market-rate edge rusher, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Chris Braswell. The roster fit checks out.
Pick74
Rnd3
Ja'Lynn Polk
Ja'Lynn Polk in No. 74 lands just on the right side of the ledger. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick79
Rnd3
Brandon Dorlus
Brandon Dorlus at pick No. 79 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick110
Rnd4
Jarvis Brownlee Jr.
Jarvis Brownlee Jr. in pick 110 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick142
Rnd5
Michael Pratt
They did well to land Michael Pratt in the 142nd overall pick, just ahead of his grade. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick199
Rnd6
Jha'Quan Jackson
A wide receiver of that caliber at the 199th pick is the definition of value, full stop. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
