You could see the war room lean forward. Daijun Edwards at Round 7, Pick 16 is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did. Good, not great, and the B says as much.

Milton III has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. They will answer for taking cornerback early while edge rusher and linebacker went begging. That edge rusher hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

The future picks help the war chest more than the win-now roster.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
