Draft Grade — Falcons
Overall B-
ValueB- NeedB+ TradesB- FutureB-
The Falcons answered their biggest question with Daniels. Grade: B-.

After circling the position for what felt like forever, the Falcons committed. Jayden Daniels is the quarterback now, and the roster gets built to his timeline.

The interior defensive lineman spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. Getting Adams where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. Harrell has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced.

A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.

Pick Analysis
Pick8 Rnd1 Jayden Daniels
Jayden Daniels at slot 8 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick43 Rnd2 Kris Jenkins
They took Kris Jenkins at par in the Round 2 slot, which is nothing to complain about. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick74 Rnd3 D.J. James
A reasonable price with a little left over, D.J. James in pick No. 74. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick109 Rnd4 Jamari Thrash
The board had Jamari Thrash higher than Round 4, Pick 9, and the wide receiver fell to them anyway. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick145 Rnd5 Isaiah Adams
Isaiah Adams at the 145th overall pick is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick189 Rnd6 Michael Barrett
They paid sticker price for Michael Barrett in the 189th pick, and that is fine. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick201 Rnd6 Jaylen Harrell
Jaylen Harrell at pick 201 is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick244 Rnd7 Trevor Keegan
They jumped the gun on Trevor Keegan, taking him earlier than his grade liked. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
