The Falcons worked the phones like thieves and earned a B.

The tape said wait; the Falcons did not. Javon Solomon went at the 79th overall pick, a good 37 picks before the board was ready. More right than wrong, and a B to match.

They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast. Spending an early pick on OLB-EDGE with offensive lineman, interior defensive lineman and other spots open is the decision the grade keeps circling back to. They will regret leaving offensive lineman for another day if the season turns on it.

The Falcons clearly valued win-now help, adding bodies who have done it before.
