The trade table was where it all came apart. The Bears shipped out far more than they hauled back, and no amount of spin dresses up the bill.

Reaching for Foster left real value on the table behind him. The linebacker spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

The Simpson pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. The bill for those future picks comes due whether the class hits or not.

There is no soft landing here; this class has to massively overperform just to matter.
