A respectable, level-headed haul for the 49ers: B-.

The 49ers looked at the value chart, folded it up, and took Jay Toia at slot 252 regardless, 107 picks early. They moved the roster forward and banked a B- for it.

The Bowman Jr. value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped tight end, which is a strange place to end up.

They left with offensive lineman solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but tight end.
