When the story of this class is written, it opens with Jay Toia at the 252nd overall pick, a reach of 107 spots that the board flatly disagrees with. They moved the roster forward and banked a B- for it.

Williams at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped tight end, which is a strange place to end up.

They left with offensive lineman solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
