Draft Grade — Seahawks
Overall D-
ValueB NeedB+ TradesF FutureD
The Seahawks cashed the board's mistake on Gordon II: D-.

Somebody took the Seahawks to the cleaners. The deals they made bled real value, and the whole class wears it. The math is unkind, and the D- follows.

They will need Milroe to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. However the rest shakes out, Gordon II at that price is a win they earned.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up. Spend now, pay later; the math only works if this class delivers.

Bottom line, they will be counting on several picks to beat their grades.

Pick Analysis
Pick18 Rnd1 Luther Burden III
In Round 1, Pick 18 they get a weapon on the perimeter. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick39 Rnd2 Tyler Warren
They robbed the room for Tyler Warren here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick41 Rnd2 Jihaad Campbell
Jihaad Campbell in pick 41 is fair value, right on his grade. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick50 Rnd2 Tate Ratledge
Tate Ratledge at the 50th overall pick is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick68 Rnd3 Jalen Milroe
Jalen Milroe in slot 68 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick82 Rnd3 Omarr Norman-Lott
A tidy bit of business in No. 82, where Omarr Norman-Lott graded well above the range. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick137 Rnd4 Jared Wilson
A top-tier offensive lineman at a bargain, Jared Wilson in the Round 4 slot, plain and simple. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick173 Rnd5 Pat Bryant
Pat Bryant in Round 5, Pick 34 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick187 Rnd6 Jaylen Reed
A slide stopped in the 187th pick, with Jaylen Reed worth more than the price. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick212 Rnd6 Ollie Gordon II
You do not let a running back like Ollie Gordon II reach pick No. 212 and blink. They did not. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick236 Rnd7 Jack Kiser
The board fumbled Jack Kiser all the way to the 236th overall pick, and they scooped it up. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
