Draft Grade — Seahawks
Overall B+
ValueB- NeedB+ TradesB+ FutureA
Best value of the weekend goes to the Seahawks for Rogers: B+.

The rest of the league will want that one back. Justin Rogers tumbling to the Seahawks in pick No. 235 is a gift they did not have to think twice about. Good, not great, and the B+ says as much.

They will need Boyd to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. Leaving tight end unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The Seahawks paired the rookies with proven help, Dayo Odeyingbo leading the way.

It is a bet on later, and a defensible one for a team playing the long game.

A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.

Pick Analysis
Pick46 Rnd2 Chris Braswell
Chris Braswell in the Round 2 slot is fair value, right on his grade. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick81 Rnd3 Junior Colson
Junior Colson in No. 81 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick100 Rnd3 Audric Estime
A market-rate running back, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Audric Estime. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick102 Rnd4 Zak Zinter
No edge and no loss on Zak Zinter in the 102nd pick; it is a wash and a sensible one. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick126 Rnd4 Michael Pratt
A conviction pick on Michael Pratt at Round 4, Pick 26 that the board grades a round light. The roster fit checks out.
Pick139 Rnd5 Khristian Boyd
Khristian Boyd at the 139th overall pick is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick152 Rnd5 Brandon Coleman
They left a pile of value on the table to take Brandon Coleman this early at slot 152. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick169 Rnd5 Tyrone Tracy Jr.
Somehow Tyrone Tracy Jr. was still sitting there in pick 169, and they pounced on premier wide receiver value. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick179 Rnd6 Grayson Murphy
Grayson Murphy at the 179th pick is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the edge rusher. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick192 Rnd6 Kitan Oladapo
A top-tier safety at a bargain, Kitan Oladapo in pick No. 192, plain and simple. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick234 Rnd7 Nathaniel Watson
Nathaniel Watson at the Round 7 slot is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick235 Rnd7 Justin Rogers
They will replay Justin Rogers at the 235th overall pick for years; that is how good the value is. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
