Larceny in pick No. 88 lands the Jaguars a B-, Milum and all.

The Jaguars spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Wyatt Milum, the No. 62 name on the board, in slot 88. Good, not great, and the B- says as much.

That safety hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. Wide receiver was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job. The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.

Pick Analysis
Pick5 Rnd1 Abdul Carter
They took Abdul Carter at par in pick No. 5, which is nothing to complain about. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick36 Rnd2 Derrick Harmon
Derrick Harmon at Round 2, Pick 4 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick70 Rnd3 Maxwell Hairston
A tidy little value on Maxwell Hairston in the 70th overall pick, a step better than break-even. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick88 Rnd3 Wyatt Milum
Steal is underselling it; Wyatt Milum at pick 88 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick107 Rnd4 Devin Neal
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Devin Neal at the Round 4 slot. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick126 Rnd4 Tez Johnson
Tez Johnson at the 126th pick is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick142 Rnd5 Dorian Strong
The board fumbled Dorian Strong all the way to No. 142, and they scooped it up. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick182 Rnd6 Jonah Monheim
Jonah Monheim at slot 182 is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the offensive lineman. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick194 Rnd6 JJ Pegues
JJ Pegues in the 194th pick is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick221 Rnd7 Jay Higgins
A slide stopped in pick 221, with Jay Higgins worth more than the price. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
