The trade table was a mismatch, and the Broncos were on the right end of it, hauling in a fortune in surplus value.

That is a wide receiver worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. Every board in the league had Taylor III lower, and that gap is the story.

Job largely done: linebacker settled and 8 of 8 of the wish list covered. The offense got the lion's share of the attention.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
