A franchise passer in Williams headlines a C- weekend for the Bears.

The Bears spent the pick that matters most on Caleb Williams, and a roster that has been waiting on a passer can start to take shape. It washes out to a C-, no better and no worse.

On value alone, Cowing makes the weekend a net positive. The trades bled value they could not afford to lose. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped interior defensive lineman, which is a strange place to end up.

Every board in the league had Bell lower, and that gap is the story.

It grades out a shrug today, with plenty of room to move either way.
