The one hole that towered over the rest is filled. The Bears spent their marquee pick on Jayden Daniels, and for the first time in a while there is a real answer at quarterback.

They handed away value on the phones that the picks cannot earn back. The Beebe pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged. Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

The offense got the lion's share of the attention.
