Nobody had Nicholas Singleton this high, and it is not close. The Vikings reached 54 spots to get him at pick No. 43. More right than wrong, and a B- to match.

Bernard falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up. Safety is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

The back end got a real overhaul.

Good work on the whole, with quarterback the one box left unchecked.
