The Bengals did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Tahj Washington fell into the Round 7 slot.

For all the activity, tight end went untouched, which is hard to explain. Every board in the league had Wingo lower, and that gap is the story. The roster is better shaped than it was, with cornerback chief among the fixes.

Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but tight end.
