The move everyone will second-guess came early. The Chiefs reached some 34 spots for Javon Foster, and value like that does not grow back.

If one pick saves this weekend, it is Pritchett. They punted on wide receiver, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. The Smith pick reads as want over need, and the roster will feel it at wide receiver, quarterback and other spots.

They left with tight end solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the wide receiver spot they never got to.
