Somehow the biggest item on the list survived the weekend. The Bears never addressed edge rusher, and it is the kind of gap that lingers. More right than wrong, and a B to match.

The Hartman reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. That Perry pick is the receipt they will wave around later. A modest surplus at the table, banked quietly.

Interior defensive lineman was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the edge rusher spot they never got to.
