A sensible, unshowy class lands the Chiefs a B-. Call it a hunch or call it a gamble, but the Chiefs spent pick 231 on Tanner McLachlan, a name most had 48 spots down the list. Good, not great, and the B- says as much.
Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. They left with wide receiver solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
Trading back for volume was the quiet throughline of their weekend. Nothing gained and nothing lost at the table.
