The Chiefs checked most of the boxes and earned a B+. The Hayden Hatten pick is the one that will follow the Chiefs into the fall. They took him 72 spots ahead of his grade, and the board is not shy about saying so. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B+.
If one pick saves this weekend, it is Restrepo. It is not that Smith is a bad player; it is that the Chiefs had louder needs to answer first.
Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. Wide receiver is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
