A sensible, unshowy class lands the Chiefs a B-.

Boards are made to be trusted, and the Chiefs shredded theirs for Hayden Hatten. He came off 74 spots early, and the room will hear about it.

Jones falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

They left with wide receiver solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off. The Ian Book deal gives the class an established piece to lean on.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
