The Chiefs kept it disciplined and banked a B-. There is conviction, and then there is this. The Chiefs took Dallin Holker a full 41 picks ahead of where the board had him, an overdraft steep enough that it colors the whole weekend.
With quarterback and interior defensive lineman unsolved, spending premium capital on DT-EDGE is the choice that costs them. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up.
The Smith steal is the beam this whole class leans on.
