Maye is the Commanders' new face under center. Grade: B.

The Commanders spent the pick that matters most on Drake Maye, and a roster that has been waiting on a passer can start to take shape.

They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. The Bertrand reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade.

However the rest shakes out, Smith at that price is a win they earned. They left with wide receiver solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.
