Call it larceny. AJ Barner sat on the board until the Round 6 slot, and the Steelers did not need to be asked twice.

With quarterback, safety and other spots unsolved, spending premium capital on offensive lineman is the choice that costs them. They will regret leaving quarterback for another day if the season turns on it.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
