Draft Grade — Falcons
Overall B
ValueB NeedB+ TradesB- FutureB-
Daniels is the plan now, and the Falcons grade out a B.

After circling the position for what felt like forever, the Falcons committed. Jayden Daniels is the quarterback now, and the roster gets built to his timeline. More right than wrong, and a B to match.

Landing Jones that late papers over a lot of smaller sins. A whole weekend of picks and offensive lineman is somehow still a want.

They went 5 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.

Pick Analysis
Pick8 Rnd1 Jayden Daniels
In Round 1, Pick 8 they get their quarterback of the future. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick43 Rnd2 Kris Jenkins
Kris Jenkins at No. 43 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick74 Rnd3 Ruke Orhorhoro
They did well to land Ruke Orhorhoro in slot 74, just ahead of his grade. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick109 Rnd4 Jalen McMillan
A wide receiver of that caliber at the 109th overall pick is the definition of value, full stop. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick145 Rnd5 Ben Sinnott
Good price on Ben Sinnott in pick No. 145, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick189 Rnd6 Josh Proctor
Josh Proctor in the Round 6 slot is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick201 Rnd6 Isaiah Williams
A slide stopped in the 201st pick, with Isaiah Williams worth more than the price. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick244 Rnd7 Sheridan Jones
Sheridan Jones in pick 244 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. A minor need, but a need all the same.
