The steal of the weekend belongs to the Bears and Key: B-.

The board owed the Bears one, and it paid up: Dane Key, the No. 190 name on the board, sitting there at pick 256 like a gift left on the doorstep. No fireworks, but a solid B-.

They will need Thomas to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. They punted on running back, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with edge rusher chief among the fixes.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but running back.
