Nothing loud, just a tidy B- for the Packers.

They will call it conviction in the building and a reach everywhere else: Dwight McGlothern, 40 picks early at the Round 6 slot. It does the job without flash, and the B- reflects it.

The Hicks pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with quarterback, wide receiver and other spots still on the board. The quarterback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

Haynes at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. Edge rusher was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
