You can draft well and still miss the point. The Lions did plenty of tidy work and somehow never got around to cornerback, which was the need that mattered most. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B.
They went 1 of 9 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
