They finally answered the question that shadows every other one. J.J. McCarthy is the Cardinals' quarterback, full stop. The sum of the weekend is a deserved A-.

That Jacobs pick is the receipt they will wave around later. The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain.

With edge rusher and running back unsolved, spending premium capital on cornerback is the choice that costs them.

A strong weekend's work, and a rare one to find this little fault with.
