Draft Grade — Vikings
Overall

FutureB-
Larceny in the Round 6 slot lands the Vikings a B, McCoy and all. This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Jermod McCoy, the No. 11 name on the board, stolen at slot 214. The bottom line is a respectable B.
The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer. They left with safety solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
Pick Analysis
Pick22
Rnd1
Jeremiyah Love
In No. 22 they get an every-down engine for the run game, and a steal at that. A real need, handled.
Pick53
Rnd2
Mansoor Delane
They barely believed it either: Mansoor Delane still on the board at the 53rd overall pick. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick84
Rnd3
Kenyon Sadiq
You do not let a tight end like Kenyon Sadiq reach pick 84 and blink. They did not. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick97
Rnd3
Kamari Ramsey
Kamari Ramsey in the 97th pick is a gift, value that borders on unfair. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick139
Rnd4
Jake Slaughter
A top-tier offensive lineman at a bargain, Jake Slaughter in Round 4, Pick 39, plain and simple. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick171
Rnd5
Cayden Green
Cayden Green at slot 171 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick181
Rnd5
Ja'Kobi Lane
They will replay Ja'Kobi Lane at the Round 5 slot for years; that is how good the value is. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick214
Rnd6
Jermod McCoy
Circle this one: Jermod McCoy at pick No. 214 is a fall that decides a draft. Nice player, but the depth chart did not need him here.
Pick239
Rnd7
Charles Jagusah
Charles Jagusah in No. 239 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
