Draft Grade — Ravens
Overall B
ValueB NeedB+ TradesB- FutureB-
Stone should have been long gone. The Ravens pounced, and earned a B.

Thirty-one other rooms let David Stone slide, and the Ravens were the ones holding the card at slot 45. Highway robbery. The bottom line is a respectable B.

Omosigho has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped running back, which is a strange place to end up.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.

Pick Analysis
Pick14 Rnd1 Ellis Robinson IV
In pick 14 they get a potential shutdown corner at fair value. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick45 Rnd2 David Stone
David Stone in the 45th pick should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick80 Rnd3 Nyck Harbor
They went early on Nyck Harbor in pick No. 80, and the value did not follow. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick115 Rnd4 Whit Weeks
A wild overpay on Whit Weeks in slot 115, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick152 Rnd5 Jermaine Mathews Jr.
Jermaine Mathews Jr. at the 152nd overall pick is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick160 Rnd5 Earnest Greene III
They paid a round early for Earnest Greene III in Round 5, Pick 22, more than the board wanted. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick172 Rnd5 Drew Bobo
Somehow Drew Bobo was still sitting there in No. 172, and they pounced on premier offensive lineman value. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick173 Rnd5 Sammy Omosigho
They reached a country mile for Sammy Omosigho at the Round 5 slot, and the board is aghast. A want dressed up as a pick, at a spot they had covered.
Pick249 Rnd7 Evan Stewart
Evan Stewart at the 249th overall pick is right where the board had him, plain and simple. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick252 Rnd7 Kelby Collins
A premium they did not need to pay, Kelby Collins a notch or two before his time. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
