This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Brady Cook, the No. 115 name on the board, stolen at No. 201.

The cost of the Brailsford reach is exactly the players who went right after him. The trades bled value they could not afford to lose. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped interior defensive lineman, which is a strange place to end up.

It is a bet on later, and a defensible one for a team playing the long game.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
