Draft Grade — Jaguars
Overall B
ValueB+ NeedB+ TradesC+ FutureB+
The Jaguars let Skattebo fall into their laps, and walked away with a B.

The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Jaguars watched Cam Skattebo slide 68 picks past his grade and did not hesitate. No fireworks, but a solid B.

A whole weekend of picks and wide receiver is somehow still a want. The Frazier pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over.

Offensive lineman is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it. The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.

Pick Analysis
Pick12 Rnd1 Mason Graham
Mason Graham at the 12th pick nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick36 Rnd2 Nick Emmanwori
The board fumbled Nick Emmanwori all the way to the Round 2 slot, and they scooped it up. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick44 Rnd2 Tyler Booker
A tidy little value on Tyler Booker in slot 44, a step better than break-even. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick70 Rnd3 Andrew Mukuba
They paid sticker price for Andrew Mukuba in the 70th overall pick, and that is fine. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick92 Rnd3 Dylan Sampson
Dylan Sampson in pick 92 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick106 Rnd4 Azareye'h Thomas
Azareye'h Thomas in No. 106 lands just on the right side of the ledger. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick129 Rnd4 Jake Majors
Steal is underselling it; Jake Majors at pick No. 129 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick141 Rnd5 Luke Kandra
Circle this one: Luke Kandra at Round 5, Pick 4 is a fall that decides a draft. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick181 Rnd6 Cam Skattebo
Cam Skattebo at the 181st overall pick is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. The roster fit checks out.
Pick193 Rnd6 Miles Frazier
A reach for Miles Frazier in slot 193; a little patience would have been rewarded. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick221 Rnd7 Terrance Ferguson
Terrance Ferguson in pick No. 221 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
