Draft Grade — Eagles
Overall B-
ValueC NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
No fireworks, just a tidy B- for the Eagles.

Boards are made to be trusted, and the Eagles shredded theirs for Braden Fiske. He came off 83 spots early, and the room will hear about it. More right than wrong, and a B- to match.

That edge rusher hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. With edge rusher, safety and other spots unsolved, spending premium capital on defensive back is the choice that costs them. Job largely done: cornerback settled and 6 of 9 of the wish list covered.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.

Pick Analysis
Pick33 Rnd2 Keon Coleman
They took Keon Coleman at par in No. 33, which is nothing to complain about. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick51 Rnd2 Sedrick Van Pran
Sedrick Van Pran in the 51st pick is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. It fills a real need, too.
Pick64 Rnd2 TreVeyon Henderson
A wild overpay on TreVeyon Henderson in Round 2, Pick 32, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick97 Rnd3 Max Melton
The needs board was loud and they turned it down, spending pick 97 on Max Melton with edge rusher, safety and other spots unsolved.
Pick137 Rnd5 Cedric Gray
A reach on Cedric Gray in slot 137; the board had better options right there. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick147 Rnd5 Tyler Guyton
Fair-plus on Tyler Guyton, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. The roster fit checks out.
Pick172 Rnd5 Cam Hart
A straight-up fair deal on Cam Hart at the Round 5 slot, value and slot in agreement. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick178 Rnd6 Bryson Nesbit
A real head-scratcher, Bryson Nesbit in Round 6, Pick 3 is miles ahead of his ranking. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick222 Rnd7 Braden Fiske
Braden Fiske in slot 222 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick253 Rnd7 Fentrell Cypress II
By-the-book stuff, Fentrell Cypress II at pick 253 squarely in line with his ranking. Need-wise, a curious use of the pick.
