klondike 13 DRAFTING FOR THEEagles
Draft Selections
Draft Grade — Eagles

Stutsman should have been long gone. The Eagles pounced, and earned a B. The board owed the Eagles one, and it paid up: Danny Stutsman, the No. 90 name on the board, sitting there at pick No. 164 like a gift left on the doorstep.
With cornerback, edge rusher and other spots unsolved, spending premium capital on linebacker is the choice that costs them. A whole weekend of picks and cornerback is somehow still a want.
A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
Pick Analysis
Pick31
Rnd1
Tyler Warren
In No. 31 they get a matchup weapon at tight end, outstanding value to boot. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick63
Rnd2
Jalon Walker
They robbed the room for Jalon Walker here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick95
Rnd3
Sebastian Castro
Fair-plus on Sebastian Castro, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick128
Rnd4
Barrett Carter
The eyebrow-raiser of the weekend. They went linebacker with Barrett Carter while clear needs at cornerback, edge rusher and other spots sat open.
Pick160
Rnd5
Ty Robinson
Ty Robinson at pick No. 160 is a conviction pick that outran the value. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick164
Rnd5
Danny Stutsman
You do not let a linebacker like Danny Stutsman reach the Round 5 slot and blink. They did not. They doubled down on a strength rather than a need.
Pick166
Rnd5
Lathan Ransom
A safety of that caliber at Round 5, Pick 29 is the definition of value, full stop. A need, and now a little less of one.
