If confidence were a draft strategy, the Eagles would have aced it. Jah Joyner at No. 96 is 56 spots clear of where he belonged. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B-.

That is an offensive lineman worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. Leaving cornerback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The roster is better shaped than it was, with edge rusher chief among the fixes.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
