Draft Grade — Colts

The Colts let Walker fall and pounced. Final grade: B-.

The value of the weekend has a name and a slot: Jalon Walker, the 45th pick, roughly 22 picks past where he belonged. More right than wrong, and a B- to match.

For all the activity, wide receiver went untouched, which is hard to explain. They are betting Wohler proves the room right and everyone else wrong. Running back was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.

Pick Analysis
Pick14 Rnd1 Shavon Revel Jr.
In No. 14 they get a press-man option on the boundary, though they paid up to get him.
Pick45 Rnd2 Jalon Walker
Jalon Walker in the Round 2 slot is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick80 Rnd3 Elijah Arroyo
Elijah Arroyo at pick 80 is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the tight end. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick117 Rnd4 Cam Skattebo
The board fumbled Cam Skattebo all the way to Round 4, Pick 15, and they scooped it up. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick151 Rnd5 James Burnip
James Burnip in slot 151 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A want dressed up as a pick, at a spot they had covered.
Pick189 Rnd6 Nohl Williams
A tidy bit of business in the 189th overall pick, where Nohl Williams graded well above the range. Nice player, but the depth chart did not need him here.
Pick232 Rnd7 Hunter Wohler
Hunter Wohler in the 232nd pick is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. A minor itch, scratched.
