Draft Grade — Bills
Overall

FutureB-
A solid, sensible weekend for the Bills: B-. When the story of this class is written, it opens with Cam Jackson at the Round 6 slot, a reach of 44 spots that the board flatly disagrees with. They moved the roster forward and banked a B- for it.
Brown falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.
A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
Pick Analysis
Pick30
Rnd1
Jahdae Barron
In the Round 1 slot they get a press-man option on the boundary at a price that makes it sweeter.
Pick56
Rnd2
Elic Ayomanor
A market-rate wide receiver, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Elic Ayomanor. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick62
Rnd2
Xavier Watts
They let Xavier Watts come to them and pounced at No. 62. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick109
Rnd4
Vernon Broughton
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Vernon Broughton. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick132
Rnd4
Luke Kandra
They will replay Luke Kandra at the 132nd overall pick for years; that is how good the value is. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick169
Rnd5
Logan Brown
The board fumbled Logan Brown all the way to Round 5, Pick 31, and they scooped it up. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick170
Rnd5
Jack Kiser
This one needs a full-page explanation: Jack Kiser in pick 170, miles early. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick173
Rnd5
Dorian Strong
Dorian Strong at pick No. 173 is money in the bank, a cornerback taken below his worth. A luxury on a unit that was already in good shape.
Pick177
Rnd6
Cam Jackson
Value said wait; Cam Jackson in the Round 6 slot says they were not listening. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick206
Rnd6
Kyle Williams
Kyle Williams is a better player than the 206th pick suggests; smart patience, rewarded. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
