Overall B-

The 49ers let Allar fall into their laps, and walked away with a B-.

You build a draft on nights like this. Drew Allar had no business being available in the Round 5 slot, and the 49ers did the only sane thing and turned in the card. It does the job without flash, and the B- reflects it.

Jackson Jr. has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. The wide receiver spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.

Pick28 Rnd1 Isaiah World

In the Round 1 slot they get a blindside protector, though the board says they badly overpaid. Exactly the need they had to hit.

Pick59 Rnd2 Jaeden Roberts

The board had cheaper options than Jaeden Roberts at the 59th overall pick, and it noticed. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.

Pick92 Rnd3 Kenyatta Jackson Jr.

This one needs a full-page explanation: Kenyatta Jackson Jr. in pick 92, miles early. It fills a real need, too.

Pick127 Rnd4 Chris Johnson

The board had Chris Johnson higher than the 127th pick, and the cornerback fell to them anyway. A minor need, but a need all the same.

Pick133 Rnd4 Parker Brailsford

Good price on Parker Brailsford in No. 133, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.

Pick139 Rnd4 Terrance Carter Jr.
