Draft Grade — Lions
Overall

Nothing loud, just a tidy B for the Lions. You can draft well and still miss the point. The Lions did plenty of tidy work and somehow never got around to edge rusher, which was the need that mattered most. No fireworks, but a solid B.
Cornerback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
Pick Analysis
Pick17
Rnd1
Kadyn Proctor
In pick 17 they get a long-term starter on the line at fair value. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick50
Rnd2
Keith Abney II
Keith Abney II in slot 50 lands just on the right side of the ledger. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
