Draft Grade — Chargers
Overall

More right than wrong for the Chargers, and a B to prove it. The one they had to fix is still broken. The Chargers left interior defensive lineman untouched, and that omission hangs over an otherwise reasonable haul. Call it a sensible B, earned the boring way.
Edge rusher was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but interior defensive lineman.
Pick Analysis
Pick22
Rnd1
Peter Woods
In the Round 1 slot they get a bendy edge with upside at fair value. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick55
Rnd2
Jake Slaughter
A straight-up fair deal on Jake Slaughter at Round 2, Pick 23, value and slot in agreement. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
