After circling the position for what felt like forever, the Bears committed. Jayden Daniels is the quarterback now, and the roster gets built to his timeline. This is how you run a draft, and the A- reflects it.

They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast. The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

With edge rusher, interior defensive lineman and other spots unsolved, spending premium capital on safety is the choice that costs them. Van Pran has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced.

In the end it comes back to Jayden Daniels, and a haul good enough to build on right away.
