The board owed the Commanders one, and it paid up: Jamari Thrash, the No. 170 name on the board, sitting there at the 209th overall pick like a gift left on the doorstep. Very little went wrong, and the A- is earned.

If Travis pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. They will regret leaving interior defensive lineman for another day if the season turns on it.

In the end it comes back to JC Latham, and a haul good enough to build on right away.
