Draft Grade — Jaguars

FutureB-
A solid, sensible weekend for the Jaguars: B. The board owed the Jaguars one, and it paid up: Cade Klubnik, the No. 93 name on the board, sitting there at slot 127 like a gift left on the doorstep. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.
Reaching for Williams left real value on the table behind him. For all the activity, interior defensive lineman went untouched, which is hard to explain.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the interior defensive lineman spot they never got to.
Pick Analysis
Pick58
Rnd2
Elijah Sarratt
A tidy bit of business in Round 2, Pick 26, where Elijah Sarratt graded well above the range. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick81
Rnd3
Max Klare
Max Klare is a better player than No. 81 suggests; smart patience, rewarded. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick89
Rnd3
Keith Abney II
Keith Abney II at the 89th pick is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick100
Rnd3
Nyck Harbor
A slide stopped in Round 3, Pick 36, with Nyck Harbor worth more than the price. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick127
Rnd4
Cade Klubnik
Taking Cade Klubnik in pick 127 is close to grand larceny; a quarterback that good had no business lasting this long. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick166
Rnd5
Jaden Greathouse
Jaden Greathouse in pick No. 166 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick232
Rnd7
Trey Zuhn III
By-the-book stuff, Trey Zuhn III at slot 232 squarely in line with his ranking. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick246
Rnd7
PJ Williams
PJ Williams at No. 246 is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
