The board owed the Jaguars one, and it paid up: Kool-Aid McKinstry, the No. 19 name on the board, sitting there at pick 39 like a gift left on the doorstep.

They are betting Taylor III proves the room right and everyone else wrong. They punted on quarterback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

They left with wide receiver solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off. They chose more darts over a bigger single swing.

A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
